Huskers....Back to the Good Life!

Well...it's only taken me two weeks to update on our trip back to Nebraska!  Can't believe it's already been that long!  As always, our itinerary was full as we filled about every free minute we had available with something!  It was so GREAT to be back and enjoy our family and friends...and just being in the Midwest, in general!

We kicked off the trip by flying into Omaha and going to one of our favorite places for lunch...PEPPERJAX!   (If you ever get the chance, we highly recommend going...some of the best philly's and rice bowls....SO GOOD)

Easton got to come along with Grandma and Grandpa Price to pick us up from the airplane.  He was pretty excited....almost as much as we were to see him!

Here I got to meet my old college roommate/maid of honor/friend for life's new baby, Louis Aaron, who was born on March 20, 2013.  He was about 6 wks premature, but that didn't stop him from filling in and being one of the most adorable little babies (2nd to my new niece, of course , :-)...sorry Danielle). We got to catch up briefly and of course I got to snuggle with him.  And no, we did not coordinate our outfits!

From there, we headed back up to Northeast Nebraska to continue on with the madness and more catching up!  That night we got to meet our new niece, Sophia Grace Price (Derek [Chad's brother] and Brandy's third).  She was born on April 9, 2013 at a whopping 9lbs!  She is beyond adorable and so beautiful.  It was so amazing to hold her and stare at her!  As any proud aunt, I took a lot of pictures...but I'll share just a few... :)

Loved spending time with these two!

Friday, we were able to catch up with my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and then spent lunch catching up with my mom.  That afternoon we added in a quick round of 9 at the Pierce Golf Course (which seems to be the ongoing tradition, these days, to do a little family golf outing...) It wasn't our most competitive game, and probably not some of our best golf, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.

Friday night we loaded up the whole gang in Derek and Brandy's daycare van and treked out to O'Neill for Chad's cousin's graduation, Elizabeth!  We had a lot of fun in the van and being able to visit and hang out together on the trip!

Congrats, Liz!  So good to see you all!

Friday night after the graduation, we returned to Pierce, where my brother Craig stopped by with his new baby, Bella. (a Boxer)  She's cute, has a lot of spunk, and thinks shes a lap dog.  Molly (Bruce and Peggy's dog) got to meet her as well.

Saturday was another graduation, this time on my side, with my cousin Daniel.  He graduated from Osmond, my alma mater where I got to see some people I haven't probably seen in 5 years!  The school has changed so much and it was awesome to see all the improvements that have been made since I last visited those halls!  With this, we also got to visit with some friends and family we haven't seen since probably our wedding!  Everyone's growing up so much!

Whew, are you tired yet?!?!  We might have been, but at this point were going on pure adrenaline and joy of seeing everyone!  After the reception we headed back to Pierce where we got to hang out with the family, my brothers and mom stopped by and some old high school friends of Chad's.  (Another late night)

Sunday, we got the honor of being one of Sophia's sponsors at her baptism.  It was an awesome day, where we also got to celebrate Miss Izzy's 6th birthday!  (Next year, Easton, we'll have to come back for YOUR birthday :-) )

Grandma Peggy made both the birthday and the baptism cakes!

And that, I think is about a wrap!  (I don't think I forgot anything)  As you can see it was filled with lots of babies, people and activities in a matter of 5 days....which we wouldn't have had it any other way!

It is now officially the muggy, humid, super hot summer down here...so, yay!  (Hurricane Season starts next week....who's excited?!?!)

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day weekend!  Thanks to all that we know and don't know who have served or are serving our country!  A big special thanks to one of my greatest friends, LT Katie Stewart, who is currently overseas serving her deployment tour...we're thinking of you!

WE LOVE YOU ALL!!
